New Roses and Fancy Dresses!
The Bologa's Finally Newlyweds!
Well, it's wedding season and our good friends Chris and Marci got married last weekend at the beautiful Towson Golf and County Club! The bridesmaids wore a bright bubblegum pink and the wedding was outside on top of a hill over looking a beautiful golf course! Marci looked amazing and Chris looked as handsome as ever!
The dinner was great, AJ even leaned over to ask if he could finish my dinner plate too! Lots of dancing, funny speaches, fun memories with TONS of golf buddies, and a few drinks for fun! We love you guys and wish you all the joy and happiness God can bring to your marriage! Happy Honeymooning!! ;o)
Family Parties!
So, for Father's Day, we had my family over for a party. AJ & I, like usual, had sent out official invitations, planned the menu to a "T" accounting for all types of possible errors to the plan... (gotta love the Married Team of Engineers) We had a few late shows, including the appitizer person, and a frustrated/hungry mother and father, not to mention a few children for good measure! It was fun and my Dad had a great time and the birthday girl, my sister April looked better then ever, even after having 3 beautiful children I LOVE!
Family memories will last you the rest of your life, good, bad or just plain funny! Woohoo! We love you Wise's!

Dog Sitting...
So yes, we miss our baby Maverick so bad it really hurts some days. Especially in the summer time when he loved the beach more then anything! Well, we got a chance to enjoy our neighbors dog to relive the "dog owners" life for a weekend. His name is Bailey and he is a pure bread 7 year old boxer.
On top of the regular breakfast and lunch dry dog food,.. he gets a special treat for lunch,... canned green beans! YUM.... We were told he will just lie around and look out the front window most the day. So while AJ and I were at work, I was determined to not get his short hair all over our new couch. If it was impossible to keep him off the couch with chairs and ottoman's,... then I was going to double cover it with every old towel and sheet I had!
AJ and I enjoyed getting the morning walks and afternoon walks,.... and evening walks... once again for exercise. But when Bailey woke us up at 4:30am on Sunday morning to go to the bathroom... we definitely, didn't miss having a dog. Sigh...
Here is a few pictures of Bailey enjoying his sleep over at our house, and enjoying our L-sectional couch tremendously! He found he could stretch out as much as he wanted! We just wished he didn't have to snore while he did it!!
We still get to see Bailey at our neighbors window every day! But I'm happy to have my dog hair free couch back! Now I can eat my dessert on my couch again,... at least it's not dog hair!

Sisters Always....
So, of course growing up as sisters, Melissa and I were dressed a like frequently by our mother. It's just the thing to do when you have little girls I guess. Usually, the sisters grow out of it and wouldn't be caught dead in matching clothes!
Well, the "Wise Girls" are different! So this is a tribute to all my sisters who still love to dress like we're sisters... maybe it's because we feel the need for connection since non of us look alike!!

Either way, we enjoy doing it so much, we're passing it on to the next generation of "Wise girls!"

Hershey Park!
So I got discount tickets from work to Northrop Grumman Corporate Day to Hershey Park! AJ has never been a fan of roller coasters and was going to be the "back-pack-holder" the whole time if I took him. So I asked my little sister, Melissa. Of course she said yes and off we went for a road trip up to PA! She wanted to go take the Hershey tour but there was no time for that! We had roller coasters to ride!
While standing in line for the first one we reminisced about all our roller coaster riding days back in high school and which was the best one we had ever been on. We talked about how our Aunt Jane (mom's side) was the one person who took both of us on our first roller coaster! By the time we got up there and heard all the screaming from the rides taking off and coming in,... we got a little nervous. We finally made it into the car and buckled in and were excited as the roller coaster cranked up the first hill slowly... the whole time in line we were saying how we'll never be too old to ride roller coasters! We'll definitely be the fun mom's who take their kids on them. Well, let me tell you, as we rounded over the top of that hill and the split second before we flew down we screamed at each other "WE'RE TOO OLD FOR THIS!!!" We screamed the whole ride!!!
Needless to say, we went on EVERY coaster in the park... we skipped all the boring rides that didn't go up-side-down. Melissa even convinced me to go on the scariest one twice! Each one we screamed the whole way! It was beautiful weather and despite all our fun,... we only have one picture to show for it! Good times! Thanks, Miss!

From Swimsuits to Snow,... Here We Come Lake Tahoe!
Our casino hotel was actually really nice and had a great location we could walk all around if we wanted to! It had 3 restaurants in the hotel that were all very good and reasonably priced. We did go on the casino floor and watch all the crazy people gamble away lifesavings, mortgages, cars, and then there was us... who tried out the penny slots to say we tried it! We lost a total of $9 the whole two days! It was great fun! My impression of gambling is,... it only depends how long you're playing is dependant of how much money you waste... either way, "the house always wins." Whether you play 1 hour or 8 hours... in the end, you lost your money. Some penny slots I was doing really well and got up to $1.40 (I only put in $1) and I kept going thinking I could win more... and like my rule... it only took me a little longer to loose it all. It's amazing what greed and addiction takes over when even playing $1 of your money on a completely randomized game. No wonder God said He had better things in life for us to enjoy! God guarantees our happiness and success, rather then a machine who teases you with false hope and short lived, empty joy.
We thought flying on a Thursday would be best and then AJ had a feeling we should leave the hotel the night before so we were the first people in line at the airport when it opened at 5:30am. So we checked out early (saved a night of hotel expense) and hit a snow storm while leaving the Lake... it was actually kind of scary on a white out! It's a good thing we left when we did instead of trying to leave at 3am and being stuck in a blizzard! We got to the Reno/Tahoe airport at 11:50pm and all the airlines had closed. So we couldn't get past the gates so we bundled up on the cement floor next to the baggage claim and tried to sleep until 4:30am. We couldn't really sleep, when I woke up at 3:30am, AJ was sitting straight up and all ready to tell me how we did on our budget for the trip (we decided not to worry about spending on vacation but we saved receipts to see in the end for future reference). So he was very happy with our expenditure for the trip and my original estimate was right on! Which is rare... We sat by the airline until 6am (2.5 hours) when they finally opened and let us past the gates.
To make a very long story short... we flew to Vegas,... got taken off the plane... thankfully, got put back on to fly to Chicago... then from 11am on Thursday to 6:30am on Friday we ran around all of Chicago trying to get on every flight (at least 2 an hour) to get to the east coast! We just wanted to get to even Tennessee! We couldn't get on anything!!! I was crying, AJ looked into rental cars to drive home. We were so scared we would miss Easter (that Sunday!). So tired from no sleep the night before and aching from running around to gates and standing in lines and yelling at flight attendants... we curled up in two chairs until someone told us about some cots that the airport puts out by the food court area. So we dragged ourselves over there and got a coat which had a pillow and a blanket and we slept like we were in a homeless hostel! But it felt so good to lay flat and the woman on the loud speaker announcing every flight number and warning every 15 minutes finally put us to sleep.
I had called my Dad, who had our car, right before we left Chicago to tell him that we finally got on a flight and we'll figure out how to get home to Baltimore when we get there. Sure enough, when we got off the plane in Philly and I checked my voicemail... my Dad had hopped in his car to come pick us up in Philly and was only 30 minutes away when we landed! I couldn't believe it! God answered our prayers before we even said them! I just had to cry out of pure joy! If any of you have a father... the sacrifices they make for you,... even when you think you've grown up and don't need them... never forget, you will always need your Daddy! Thank you Dad, we love you so much!!!
