DC Concert Series

We joined some old college friends and went to have a picnic dinner and swim (for the kids) in downtown DC. We had a blast! Thankfully it was perfect weather and the temperature was great too! The band played a ton of oldies (i.e. 70's, 80's and 90's) that we danced to on the board walk. It was a good time.

New Sound

Walking by Himself

First he went so fast I couldn't get his picture! So I kept trying to hold him back away from me for the picture... as you can tell! Finally I got some on camera! At 10.5 months old (yes this post is old) our baby boy was walking... not crawling... but walking!

Home-Made Water Table

So the newest thing around are water tables... at least they are new to me since I'm new to the "Mama World." Now that Jack is extremely steady and walking around, I thought he could splash and play in a bowl full of water with toys! This was before the pool opened up of course. But we still do enjoy a good splashing! It's great to do on a hot day in the shade too because they get soaked and have a great time!

Mother's Day

For my first Mother's Day (Saturday), AJ planned a surprise picnic lunch at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis. We got a whole gazebo to ourselves and spread out a blanket and picniced over looking the Severn River! It was beautiful and other than Jack feeling miserable from a fever from getting his two front teeth, he held in there pretty well.

Then on Sunday, we went to Chipotle and Jack enjoyed a pickle while Mommy and Daddy splurged and got soda's with their meal instead of the free water! Hehe!

Money In The Bank

I thought maybe now that Jack is starting to put objects into buckets, trash cans, bags, cups, etc. that he might like to put money into his piggy bank from Grandma. I know it is a small thing to put in a tiny slot but I thought it was worth a shot. Well, I should have known better. He didn't even realize there was any type of piggy bank because he just wanted to put it in his mouth! HA! Yuck! Well, at least we know he's not a spender.... yet! ;o)

Trying Out Daddy's Clubs

Off we went, on a beautiful day to hit some golf balls. AJ's been gettin' the itch to play and finally we had some time on a Sunday to go together. Jack loved rolling all the golf balls to his Daddy so he could hit them. We even snapped a shot of AJ trying to get Jack to grip the club! So cute! Someday soon...

Ice Cream!

We went to Dickey's BBQ for dinner one Sunday evening and they have free ice cream if you dine in. So we let Jack try some for the first time. Again, something cold on his gums! He loved it!

FINALLY Something Like A Crawl

I'm a month late in posting this, but Jack has finally showed a sign of crawling. Even though he was already walking a few steps by himself by this point. He does a sort of army crawl with a big toe push. He's pretty fast at it now, but this was one of the first times he did it.... hence, my excitment!

Also, a little peek-a-boo with Dada. I just adore my boys giggles!

Swing and Ducks

Another regular visit to the park. The ducks got SO close to AJ and Jack, that they had to move back!
